Monitoring dashboards help teams see how their systems are doing. This skill focuses on building dashboards that answer real questions from operators. You will learn to turn metrics into clear and useful boards for tools like Grafana and SigNoz.
The goal is not to show every possible metric. The goal is to help someone know if a system is healthy, where the bottleneck is, what changed, and what action to take. Every panel on the dashboard should have a purpose.
You will start by defining the key operating questions. Then you will build a minimum useful board with sections for overview, performance, resources, and service-specific details. Cut any panel that does not help answer a real question.
