The GTEx Project measures how genes are turned on in different parts of the body. This tool lets you look up RNA expression data from 54 healthy human tissues. You can also find how small changes in DNA affect gene activity.
You can get the median expression level of a gene in any tissue. You can map a gene name to its official ID. You can also find the top tissues where a gene is most active. And you can search for eQTLs which link DNA variants to expression changes.
This is useful for researchers studying gene regulation or interpreting genetic variants. The data comes from the GTEx Portal API and is accessed through simple commands.
