Proteins are made of building blocks called domains and families. InterPro helps you find these parts in any protein. It combines 14 different databases like Pfam and CDD into one easy search tool.
You can see which species have a certain domain. You can find all proteins that share a family. You can also annotate whole genomes with protein family names and Gene Ontology terms. A new deep learning method called InterPro-N adds even more coverage.
The skill includes a helper script that handles rate limits and pagination. Just run it from the command line or use it inside your Python code. This makes it simple to explore large amounts of data.
